about

Hi, I'm Erin!

I'm an early 30s, wife and momma, shoe and Pinterest addict, knitter, avid reader and chocolate chip cookie lover. I love Jesus. I'm obsessed with the color teal, cardigans and anything with stripes or polka dots. I have a serious girl crush on Audrey Hepburn.

about the blog

My sweet baby girl was born in the summer of 2014. Since her birth, I've thought a lot about body image and my desire for her to have a strong sense of self, and to love her body, whether she's a size 2 or 20. I've fluctuated in weight, from a size 8 to an 18/20 to my current size 14/16. I think the best way to lead is by example, so my intention is to use this blog as a means to embrace and celebrate my shape as well as to explore and enjoy fashion.

On a lighter note: I love clothes. I love talking about clothes. I love seeing what other people are wearing and figuring out how it might work for me. For me imitation is truly the sincerest form of flattery, and I love sharing my finds and hopefully inspiring someone else's wardrobe. It just seems like a natural thing to blog about it. Why not talk about what you love and hopefully find some other folks out there who love it just as much?!

And sometimes a girls has got to throw a DIY or two into mix. Crafts and clothes are my jam.

  1. Thanks for your blog. I've been having thyroid/adrenal issues the past couple of years and my weight went up 60 lbs. I'm working on health and weight loss, but I love that you provide so many ideas on how to dress the body I have now. Thanks.

    1. Thanks Tabitha for you sweet words. One of the main reasons I started blogging was because at the time I didn't see a lot of women my size, they were either petite or the larger size of plus. If you're looking for other bloggers about my size, Megan has a ton of cute outfits (http://www.hayesdays.com/) and I love Alissa styles as well (http://www.theadoredlife.com/).

  2. I just recently discovered your blog and have been scouring it! I am in serious need of updating my closet, I'm so good about keeping my daughter dressed to the nines but not so much for myself. In my head I keep telling myself that once I lose weight I'll buy something nice, well...it's been many years and it hasn't happened! I LOVE your style so much. I work in a library and feel that many of these looks would work for me. Also, I'm pretty much exactly your size though am 5 foot 4 inches. with a smaller shoe. I was wondering if you may have time to do a blog post for some basics that if you were jut starting out on replenishing a VERY outdated closet, what items you would go towards? I'm really at a complete loss. I feel like I will see something that I like but then once home and facing my closet I have nothing else that it will go with. Suggestions on where to start, what pieces you would suggest starting out with would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!! Jen
